Monday:

Period 1
Good day to all and sorry I am not here today. But, you can still make progress on your Adirondack chairs. I would like all the groups to sand down the staves to their barrels. If it is raining outside no one is allowed to use the 1/4 sheet palm sanders. Everyone can use the block sanders inside. Be sure to use 60 grit paper on the staves for faster cleaning. Also, make sure not to mix up staves of different barrels. The chairs will be way better if you build them from only one barrel.

Tim and James will be vacuuming and cleaning the shop while sanding is taking place and then all will help to clean on and around the tables at the end of the period. Reid and Paul will monitor and cut sand paper as needed.

Period 7
Hello to all. Sorry I am out today; I am at a teachers conference. We will be starting the garden boxes next class period. In order to do so, I want everyone to understand how the boxes are constructed. Therefore, all of you will be building the boxes in SketchUp and then drawing them in Pages as well. Paul and AJ will lead and assist you on the SketchUp portion of the assignment. You will have to have the SIDE and END view drawings done in Pages with dimensions when you return to class on Wednesday. There is an attached document that shows an example of plans done in Pages for you to follow.
